Family Tour 10 Days 9 Nights Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Israel

Welcome to your tailor-made Family Tour in Israel! Our trusted travel representative will be waiting for you at the airport. Without undue delay, you will be transferred to your comfortable accommodation choice in Tel Aviv.

Day 2: Weizmann Institute

Our exciting day starts at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel’s foremost research institute. Your whole family will be amazed at the 360-degree interactive presentation and will enjoy learning more through high-tech interactive displays. Another option this morning is to visit the Ayalon Institute instead, a fantastic museum housed within a former underground ammunition factory. Children are inspired and enlightened on visits to either museum. In the afternoon, we’ll take a private sightseeing tour of Tel Aviv’s main highlights, taking great care to include the ones that may appeal to your unique children, first and foremost. The one place we should definitely visit is Yarkon Park, where children are free to burn some energy and run around in delight. The park is traversed by the beautiful Yarkon River and is our city’s premier outdoor leisure destination. With biking and cycling trails in abundance, Yarkon is ideal for an active afternoon of fun. You will spend another wonderful evening and night in Tel Aviv!

Day 3: Drive north to the Golan

After breakfast, we’ll surprise the kids with a wonderful visit to the De Karina Boutique Chocolate Factory, where kids (and their parents!) can get their hands totally dirty creating their very own desserts, cakes, and chocolates. After you’ve stocked up on the day’s chocolate snacks, we will continue our drive up to Mount Bental, to soak up all-encompassing views of the Golan, Syria, and Quneitra. A thrilling jeep tour or a horseback ride makes the whole experience infinitely more fun for the kids! There’s a huge array of family-friendly activities in the Golan so you will have plenty from which to choose whilst you soak up the historical importance of this very important peak. Finally, we will drop you off at your Tiberias hotel so you can enjoy a leisurely evening and overnight stay.

Day 4: Tzfat (Safed) & Jordan River Adventures

Israel is home to Four Holy Cities and, today, we will explore one: Tzfat (Safed). A guided walk through the historic core delivers fascinating stories of the Kabbalists and gives you ample time to explore the artist’s colony and meet a local artist. Children are left quite spellbound in old Tzfat, the array of colors, ancient buildings, and eclectic vibe entrancing them longer than you might even imagine. The mystical city leaves everyone in absolute awe! For a super exhilarating Family Tour in Israel afternoon adventure, we will head to the Jordan River, where a rafting or kayaking excursion of biblical proportions awaits adventure-seekers. There’s a crazy array of activities for families here, including ziplining, archery, and paintball also on offer – there’s activity to suit every age group (usually above 5 years of age) so asks us for more specific info when you first contact us. Once the whole family is thrilled and exhausted, we will drive to Tiberias where you can enjoy another glorious evening and overnight stay.

Day 5: Beit She’an & Gan Hashlosha Adventures

After breakfast, we will drive to the spellbinding northern archaeological treasure that is Beit She’an. This amazingly preserved Roman city is one of the most underrated highlights in the city so we always enjoy a quiet and contemplative visit. The kids will have their minds blown by learning about the age (6,000 years!) and prominence of this once formidable place, and you will be entranced at a visit to one of Israel’s largest archaeological sites. Stroll the colonnaded avenue, visit the ancient public baths and discover stores, workshops, and dwellings that seem to be older than time itself. For an afternoon of diverse leisure, we’ll take you to the Gan Hashlosha National Park, one of Israel’s most glorious nature reserves. Blanketed by an array of naturally warm pools, Gan Hashlosha is a fabulous place for a swim and a paddle or rowboat ride, so don’t forget to pack your bathers! You’ll love the waterfalls, choice of pool depths, and plentiful options for family BBQs. At the end of our day, we will drive to Jerusalem for your first night’s stay in the ancient city.

Day 6: Jerusalem Old City

In the morning, we will enter Jerusalem through one of the Old City Gates and enjoy a memorable historical tour that will delight you all. Touring the holy city with children is not nearly as challenging as you imagine: the sheer array of activities and attractions is mind-blowing. Children are easily enthralled by the exotic infusion of cultures in Jerusalem and the unique vibe, architecture, and vibrant street scenes – this is particularly true of children who live in Western countries and have never visited the Holy Land before. Most weeknights in Spring and Summer, we can include a stunning nighttime light show at the Tower of David, a spectacle that attracts huge crowds and thrills young and old alike. At the end of this very exciting day in Old Jerusalem, you will be returned to your hotel for the evening. We represent many super family-friendly hotels so make sure you ask Mazada Tours for personal recommendations!

Day 7: Jerusalem New City

This morning we travel from old to new and enjoy a tour of the New City of Jerusalem. We’ll first take a very moving tour of Israel’s official Holocaust homage: the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. You may opt to visit the Time Elevator instead, which guides you on an incredible ‘time travel’ experience through more than three millennia of history – this is a visit no family should miss! In the afternoon, we’ll take a comprehensive tour of Machane Yehuda, the largest market in the entire country, home to over 250 distinct vendors. The culinary and visual delights continue, as you see enormous displays of spices and drool over artistic displays of sweets that beg to be eaten! Guided tasting tours and authentic cooking classes (ask us about the hummus making classes which children absolutely adore!) can be easily arranged if you’d love a deeper experience here in your family tour in Israel. You’ll spend another lovely night in Jerusalem.

Day 8: Masada Fortress and the Dead Sea

On day 8 of your private Family Tour in Israel, we’ll take you through the Judean hills to the desert so you can all enjoy an unforgettable cable-car ride and guide tour of the spellbinding Masada Fortress. Built by King Herod over 2,000 years ago, the Masada Fortress is the inspiration for our tour agency’s name and a place that’s very close to our hearts. Next on our schedule is a visit to the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, where wild ibex roam free and glorious walking trails lead to waterfalls and sensational views across the Dead Sea. Let’s take the kids on a camel ride here that they will never forget! Afterward, you will not want to miss your chance for a therapeutic bathing experience in the Dead Sea – cover your whole body in mud, lie back and enjoy the sensation of floating on air, on one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water. The evening will be spent at your Dead Sea hotel, soaking up a sunset spectacle that will stay with you forever.

Day 9: Free day Tel Aviv

The last full day of your Family Tour in Israel is a free day in Tel Aviv, meant to be spent doing everything your family enjoys. The children might get a kick out of the Natural History Museum or Children’s Museum, or perhaps enjoy an hour or two either at Luna Park or, the absolute crowd favorite, the Meymadion Water Park. Enjoy your last stint of souvenir shopping and seek more culinary delights to bring home. Your last night’s accommodation will be in Tel Aviv, conveniently located for your flight home tomorrow.

Day 10: Departure Day

Today, we will take you to the international airport to catch your flight home. We wholeheartedly thank you for choosing Mazada Family Tours in Israel and look forward to dazzling you with even more adventures, on your next visit.
